What It Means to Me
I feel both We Connect and We Lead with Trust resonate the most with me. I’ve been with the company for a long time, so personally, it’s a second family and home. I’ve been around to see the company’s growth as well as many challenges that go along with it. Whether a win or loss, we’ve always risen to the occasion. To have the longevity with some of our clients is impressive and speaks to the trust they have in our company to continue the relationship. I take pride knowing that I’m part of the ‘small, but mighty’ Business Furnishings family.

What It Means to Me
We Imagine is the core value that resonates most deeply with me. With nearly 28 years of experience as an interior designer, I approach every project with intention and a love for solving complex challenges. I see each space as a puzzle – one that requires thoughtful design, creativity, and purpose to bring it fully to life. The most rewarding moment comes after installation, when the client has moved in and shares how seamlessly the space supports their work, both functionally and aesthetically. Hearing that the environment inspires them and that they couldn’t have achieved it without my guidance is what fuels my passion and reinforces the value of imagining what’s possible.

Every Christmas, our BF family comes together to make a meaningful impact on a less fortunate family’s holiday, and we take time as a team to celebrate that experience and what it represents.

I have witnessed Deb being an exceptional steward of one of our key clients by consistently prioritizing the re-utilization of existing furniture whenever and wherever possible. Deb remains committed to doing what is best for the client rather than simply selling new products. Her integrity and client-first mindset have built deep trust over her 30 years with the company, strengthening long-term relationships and reinforcing our role as a true partner.

We Connect, I feel like we demonstrate this value every day. I trust my co-workers, for example Kate is the designer with one of my key clients’ projects, and we are consistently collaborating together to make the projects a reality. We work closely together and have formed an unbreakable bond. I trust her design work and she trusts my opinions and together we make up a team that provides great service to a national client.

How I’m Putting It Into Practice
I’d like to do a better job of being really present with people—listening first, asking better questions, and making decisions with both empathy and accountability in mind. In the rush of the day to day, it can be easy to just go through the motions. I want to slow down enough to take a big picture look and do what’s right for our team and our clients.
