Purdue Northwest Esports

Mar 4, 2022

In response to the growing demand for esports teams and competitions, Purdue Northwest Esports enlisted the help of our Business Furnishings team to transform two spaces on their Westville and Hammond campuses for the team to practice games like Rocket League, Clash of Clans and Call of Duty.

Our experts transformed a former lounge and bookstore into two new, functional, modern esports arenas. This included developing custom team play stations with Maxnomic gaming chairs, a designated coach’s area and a lounge space for viewing competitions and team collaboration. The Hammond campus also includes a stage to highlight premier matches.

This project demonstrates our ability to work closely with not just the client, but our vendor partners, too. To build the most comfortable, durable and ergonomically-sound space for the esports team to practice and compete, we worked with SteelcaseSpectrum Industries and Need for Seat, the creator of the Maxnomic chair.

Additionally, our team successfully transformed two preexisting spaces into something entirely different to meet the client’s needs. This shows the innovative mindset and adaptability of our Interior Designers and partners.
